To refuse a hearing to an opinion, because one is sure that it is false, is to assume that one's own certainty is the same thing as absolute certainty. All silencing of discussion is an assumption of infallibility.
- John Stuart Mill -

None shall be one's slave, none shall be one's master; everyone shall have the same rights, same priviledges, same justice.

- Antti Chydenius -

Any sufficiently sophisticated human thought is impossible to distinguish from artificial intelligence.

Beer hunter in memoriam

Michael Jackson (no, not the musician nor the fighter ace), the world renowned beer guru, has passed away at the age of 65, from heart attack due to grave Parkinson's disease. Michael Jackson has inspired myriads of people all around the world, and it is also his fault why the Ironmistress got enthusiasted on beer and ale.

Jackson was enthustiast of top-fermented beverages, especially real ale (unpasteurized cask or bottle conditioned top-fermented brew) and the original beers like Belgian lambic, Finnish sahti and Swedish gotlandsdricka. He was also enthusiast of whiskies, especially single malts.

Requesiat in pacem, Michael. It was your World Guide to Beer which inspired the Ironmistress on homebrewing and honing her skills. What would be a better relief after a day at the hot furnace than a cold tankard of brew?
